New Dog Park Shelter Coming in June

Makaela Hall, Visual Arts major in her first year at Antioch College, has been working with Michael Casselli to create a beautiful shelter that will be installed in the small dog area of the Yellow Springs Dog Park. Makaela hopes to go to graduate school after Antioch to continue her dream of becoming an architect.

The shelter will add much-needed shade and visual interest to the dog park. This is the first step toward creating a space that remains dog-friendly and also involves the Yellow Springs artist community. Makaela is definitely setting the bar high for future artist involvement.

The shelter is being funded by a local dog-loving philanthropist. Installation is expected to be complete by the end of Antioch’s school year in late June.
